Proving myself

I always wanted to write this,
but I don't know when is the RIGHT time to.

I always think that I have to prove it,so that I can say confidently.
But now,I realize, when you got to prove it for a previous stage, there'll always be a next stage for your life to prove. You never know what will turn out,and what you can do for the current time is to try your best.

You'll think one day everything will turn out well, but actually, they won't.
Problems will keep on showing, life won't actually got better. It's just that you are the one that became stronger, and more able to face the 'lows' in your life.

During my high school days,
I was so indulged in the co-curriculum and the young journalist,
and my mom was so worried and wanted me to quit so much.

What I did,
I tried my best every exam,
and I got the best result,
just so that I can go for those 'useless' camps.

After that,
when I got into the committee,
things got much more busier.

I have to face exam,
and at the same time,
I need to be involved in organizing camps.

I remembered studying until 4/5am in the morning,
and after studying until this late,
I start to finish things for the preparation for the camps.

Until everything done,
its almost 6 in the morning,
and I have to get ready for school.
Sleeping time is always those small naps on the car or between classes.

So when people said that I am always sleepy,
there's always a reason behind it.
I tried to be involved in the things I'm interested in,
and at the same time taking care of my studies.

When I was so busy involved in all the co-curriculum,
having a science state competition designing solar boats,
and an English debate state competition,
also a Taekwondo grading and training,
and at the same time organizing a camp as the leader.
ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
not to mention I still write for the paper.

I almost have no time to be in class,
which makes me lost with all the subjects,
bringing tonnes of homework home,
and self study until midnight.

When others feel they won't want to be involved in so many things,
which I was always busy involved.
Its seem like I put no effort in studying,
but much more to the co-curriculum,
always being sleepy in class,
and still ended up getting good results.

What they don't know is the effort,
the study whole night,
and continue with the projects,
not having sleeps for weeks.

What inspired me was once my mom said,
"Even the student who was in poverty,
can still wake up early, work part time,
at the same time need to take care of her younger siblings,
still can achieve 12A+s.
Why can't you do it?
Don't tell me that you are so busy studying,
you can't do anything else other than that."

Although I know that my mom doesn't means anything bad,
she was just on her temper,
and those words just came out of her mouth,
but seriously it is something that I still hold on until this day.

I hope when you're,or,we're,still young,
put more effort trying hard.
Its not the resting and sleeping that is important for these days,
live your life to the fullest,
and believe me you won't regret after those days.

Although I didn't got straight A+s in my SPM,
but believe me,
results stands for nothing.
Being the first in class means nothing,
what is important is what makes you.

If you are just a nerd striving hard for your exams,
you read just only because you want to achieve good results,
it won't help you to become someone better.

I succeed to achieve what I want to prove in my high school days,
and here come the university part,
and it will continue with the job part and having my own family part.

Life won't get better,
You are the one growing mature.
Try to enjoy to the fullest even its the worst,
Because there'll be a worse part than the worst coming in the future.

Maybe the points in this blog post is not organized,
maybe some parts is hard to understand,
maybe its hard to get what I want to tell,
but I tried to voice out what I was trying to say in some details.
I tried my best.Sorry for the poor grammar,

AoT

Going to Egypt...?

So earlier I posted this picture on Ins...

...and the respond I got was "wow" ,"Egypt!" ,"why Egypt?"

Not that I'm trying to lie...but the ticket for the event looks something like the boarding pass and it really did stated that its heading to Egypt...so...forgive me!

Its actually an event named GLOBAL VILLAGE by AIESEC.
I believe you people know Aiesec, its an international non-profit organisation,if you don't know,Google it !
And the Global Village event is an annual event. For this year,it's held at Malaysia here,Curtin University!

I tried to get in Aiesec, but since I am new here,I missed the sign up date, which means I need to wait for next year...

Okay, back to the event.I was so into it so not much pictures, and its dark in there so the pictures quality is not that good too.
It was at the rec hall,FREE FOOD from all over the world were provided, and also performances from the exchange students.

At first I tried Egypt curry, and they have ais kacang and rojak!!!
The last time I ate those was sooooo long ago I AM CRAVING FOR IT!

My ice kacang and rojak...Looks not that nice but seriously when you're craving for it,everything is nice!
After that I had some pulut and some special dishes from Cambodia.

Got to try the Turkey food too!!!
So called smashed eggs and salad...
Got a selfie with the Turkish girl too, awwww so pretty!!!

At last filled my stomach with Pakistan food (I think?)

For the performance part,we got students from Vietnam,Cambodia,Marautious,Egypt,Turkey,Hong Kong. For Msia, we got Chinese dance, lion dance,Indian dance,Malay singing,ErHu performance,Borneo band,Orang Ulu dance,Bidayuh dance and of course AIESECers!

Orang Ulu dance

Cambodian singing

Borneo band

Egypt dance.

Lion dance

Maroutious dance (they are WILD!!)

Malay singing

ErHu and singing

Indian dance

I was actually expecting more Mat Salleh ,but nahhh not even Japan and Korea haha. But still it was great seeing those performance and also those small tribes at Sarawak dancing.

AIESECers dance. This was the minute before I was dragged into the crowd and started dancing XD ...even though I don't even know the steps ...

We were so thirsty so we got plain ice from the ice kacang to 'munch'

A sketch by the Cambodia students and the souvenirs.
I got my name written in Vietnamese by a Vietnam girl named Tao.
Got this from the Turkey beauty...totally have no idea what is it for,but still THANKS!
And of course, took selfies with an Egypt girl!!! 并没有意要黑haha

They have a photo booth of course must take photo!!!

From the left is Jenny from Miri, then DD from Sabah,Diyana from KL and ME!!!
At my left is Mohamad from Somalia!(we are in the same group) And the hot guys beside him are from Syria.

It was a wonderful night and not to mention,I actually got the lucky draw prize!! But since I sent Diyana back to her on campus apartment,I was not at the rec hall!!! DAMNNNN. But still no use crying over spilled milk, glad that I didn't got the Grand Prize, since that's the only prize I hope for (free 6weeks exchange) so its okayyyy!!!  I had wonderful memories its enough its worth it !

Starting all over

Its week2 but its a bit special for me,
before this I was in the group 1E8,
but since there is not many students for this batch,
they decided to decrease the number of groups from 8 groups to 6 groups.

So me being in the 8th group, which is,1E8,
was being shuffled to the 6th group,1E6.

Before this we have only 13 of us in our group,
but now we have about 20 (maybe less than that I didn't count)

So week2 for me is a ALL NEW START,
I need to say hello again, and introduce myself again,
get used to everyone again, and being uncomfortable again!
The most important thing is having new lecturers!
Having to need to be used to their way of teaching.

I have totally no idea what to update, XD
just continue hoping that everything will goes well so on!

#csoweekrocks

I'll try to update this post day by day for the whole orientation week.

If the arrival day counts as Day0,then it will be Day1 for the first visit to the school campus! As expected, spent almost 30mins finding the right place although the buildings are not that much =___=" and the stupid thing is after that I found out that they actually stick some papers along the way showing where to go...LOL

The whole week is for orientation, and it's more like those camps we used to go.

DAY1
Before everything starts,we were given an orientation kit which looks like this...

Then it started with some welcome speech and some light briefing. After that is a meet and greet session, which we were served with some food and drinks-ignoring the greeting part and just ate.haha
It continued with a talk about the security around the campus followed by a F.U.N. Session which we were divided into a few groups for ice breaking.
We named our group as Vela and discussed about our group cheer. In my group there were about 30 of them, some from West Malaysia like me,others include Brunei,Singapore,Indonesia,Pakistan,Zimbabwe, and some are Mirians. All of us are studying foundation, half commerce and business half engineering.
After we did our group cheer we played some games.
Before we went out for the campus tour, the OLs(orientation leaders) suddenly start dancing at the back of the hall, and also leaded us to 'dance' together...awkward =w=

In the afternoon after lunch,we had some briefing about the registration, which ended up me waiting for a looooong time at the administration office since everyone needs to settle things.Spent more than an hour there for my student ID card and student pass.(its not that they are not efficient its just because of the crowd)

Something I would like to mention is that when I arrived at Sarawak here,I am still considered an international visitors. For Malaysian,we just need our IC or DPT if we are staying less than 90 days. The student pass is for longer staying time which can last up to a year.

DAY2
The day started with talks from the student council and the counselor, following by a detective game, which we ran around the campus just like those station games.

Before lunch,we went to the event hall with booths around which gives info about the university life.It turns out me having a recycle bag and things like this...
Which I threw most of them after taking this photo haha. Those pamphlets.

For lunch,we wanted to eat at a cafe near the library but the queue is so long!Ended up at the cafeteria haha.Next time!
Did the worldjump during the break.

In the afternoon we moved to the field for  CURTIN OLYMPICS.Did the Curtin clap, our group cheers and also the wave like those football match before we started playing.
Although we have about 20++ members in our group, only nine of us came.We played 4/5 games which most of it needed 9/10 persons,so with the lack of group members, only for our group, everyone goes down the field for every game.Tired!
We also played with water balloons so we got all wet even my shoes and socks! .....which turns out my clothes got dry after a few minutes with the scorching sun and the breeze.LOL
The tug of war.

After all of this, the only thing in my mind,BED!

DAY3
Its day three and I'm already lazy to update,so TIRED!!!
After two days of knowing each other and knowing the environment, this day starts to introduce our course structures and learning.
We were divided into two groups according to the faculty, and we got some briefing from the lecturers and unit coordinators. It was informative but after two days of tiredness piling up,can't avoid to feel sleepy, but managed to stay awake and alert teehee.

During break, lunch was provided so we just ate at the event hall. After that,we group5 from the same faculty discussed a bit about the performance for onight, just a few of us but it's fun.

It followed by introducing to MOODLE and also ways to check our timetable. The day ended with us playing a London bridge game where we use newspapers and tape to build bridges. The group that won, their bridge can actually allows 16bricks+a person sitting on it! We were shuffled for this game so we got to know more friend around!

Went home tired with my legs aching.Oh so tired!
Checked my student account and the unit outlines, whoa that'll be so much things to do after study week starts!
And I'm already tired before that =___="

DAY4

The last day!
Just half day for today with a few of interesting talks from the lecturers. We ended with a survey in one of the class.

After lunch we Velas gathered to practice for the orientation night performance which is tomorrow night. Not much members showed up for our group, ours like ONLY FIVE,and other groups were like TWENTY SOMETHING...sigh

Did my lab access card and for printing too at the school bookshop,it'll take a few days to process. But the point is they actually sell school tshirts and sweaters,I was like OMG I need one!

the baseball kind <3

So after a few days, everyone got closer. Maybe because of the Curtin Olympics too,we were actually cheering like gila one haha

Diyana,Sugar(our OL),DD

Diyana actually asked me on the first day, "Are you usually this shy?"
So now do you still think so? haha

Spent some time to go through my coming classes and it seems like there will be so much to do,it will be tiring just hope I can enjoy through!

Hi,Miri!

With all the blessings from my friends and family,I reached this new city with a name sounded 'beautiful' in Chinese(美里).This opens a new chapter of my life, hoping everything goes smooth and well so on.

Above the clouds.

Just a snowflake at the window pane.

The time taken from Penang to Miri is about 2hours45mins.With the captain's sound from the speaker on the plane, saying English with a strong and weird accent-which I can't really understand-we touched down safe and smooth.

Since I booked the ARS (Airport Reception Service)-which was provided by the university for new comers-there was already someone waiting for me.There were five of us (different flights),some with parents, and I am the only girl LOL.We put our luggage on a van,and we took a mini bus to our accommodation.
The mini bus.

and the van for luggage.

We traveled from the airport, through Miri city,to the campus. It took about an hour, maybe less.I was given my keys and a housing ID card after they sent me to my accommodation ,which I did the booking earlier on net. After that was an eternity of cleaning the room and setting down.

The place I am now living has a few rooms,a few bathrooms,a dining place,a living room,a dry kitchen with a fridge,a wet kitchen with stoves, and a small compound for laundry.Met a few housemates and found out that all of them are not having the same course as mine. While my roommate is having the same course as mine but different intake,so now she is having her sem break.(Which means I have the whole room myself! *yayicanbenakednahhjustkidding*)

After I almost finished tidying things up,I took a small walk by myself around (with sweaty face and untidy hair XD) before it gets dark.Found a few shops nearby for food and daily requirements, also a 7-11 with no people inside LOL.

I kinda stayed in my room whole time every time because still shy around haha, hope I am not thought as anti social XD The Internet here for my mobile data is so slow that it keeps disconnect =___=" and seems like we need to pay for extra Internet OH MY so I will not upload photos (which I took today)until I find a place with stable internet connection.

Haven't go to the school campus yet, don't even know which direction, but at least I know the bus stop XD Tomorrow will be quite 'adventurous' for me as a 路痴 haha.

これからは順調になるように!

Changing a consultant doctor

Just after I posted about how my eyes went wrong and went red,I actually went to another eye specialist clinic the next day.Which turns out-----EYE CURED. Yayyyy!

The Indian doctor who literally 'saved' me,God.Savior.Hero.Kamisama.

So I think I want to,I have to,I must! write about my experience and my own opinion between both the consultant doctor I met. (because the differences is very quite big)

The doctor that I used to see,is a Chinese doctor(DOC A).The new-saved me saved my eye saved my life-doctor is an Indian doctor(DOC B).Both specialist.

Doc A's clinic is always packed-full.I used to wake up early in the morning, rush to the clinic before it opens, and before the nurses and the doctor come.Still, there will be about five of them before me. Aaaaand after I gave my card, took my number,I WILL immediately leave and come back in the afternoon.Just because the doctor took too much time for each patient and even having operations between.(Learnt my lesson.)
When you are with the doctor,he examines first, then started to explain how WRONG is your eye. He will talk about the symptoms, the reasons, and all the ‘nonsense' which I am not interested and don't really understand for about 15mins. (JUST DO YOUR WORK,GIVE THE MEDICINE,CURE MY EYE.NOT WASTE MY TIME..)
The thing I find annoying is,I went there to cure my red eye(ONLY ONE SIDE),but turns out that I have BOTH my eyes too dry, with spots on it,with arteries too thick, even allergy! I mean.....SERIOUSLY?!!
All of it followed by five bottles of eye drops, you need to use it every three hours daily, rest one minute between each bottle blablablaaaa~~~The work is really bothering STILL my red eye problem DIDN'T TURN WELL.

Okay now,DocB. I went there in the evening because changing a consultant doctor is a sudden decision. There were almost no patient there the first time I went, maybe only one person before me,so I didn't really waited long.
The doctor is friendly (DocA is friendly too BTW),I told him my problems. He checked, and the next thing he did was to direct drip eye drop into my eye and applied some ointment (which is the same with the one I got from the Langkawi hospital if I'm not wrong),I waited a while while he scribbled something into my profile. Then he checked again and said no big deal, just my wound didn't recover fully.
I got an eye drop and a tube of ointment, followed the instructions to drip a drop every three hours, six times daily. This is totally much more easier and I don't actually counted sharp three hours, just follow my 'instinct',job done.
THAT IS MAGIC WATER.The red of my eye just disappear the next day(or maybe hours after I came back from the clinic)But just in case,I finished all three types of pills and went to the doctor a week later(which is today).
He checked, and said that its fully recovered.Thank God.
"You can wear contact lens already." MY FAVOURITE SENTENCE OF THIS YEAR.I was spec bound for the whole year until now, monthssssssss!

Another thing I would like to mention is the price. For DocA,I spent hundreds(with and without the operation fees),and the consultant fee is RM30++ each time if I am not wrong.
While DocB,I only went there twice. The first time,I got a small bottle of eye drop,a tube of ointment, three bars(?) of pills=total RM50 (include consultant fee) No receipt so I can't tell the exact number for the consultant fee(or maybe DocB just don't charge it).The second time I went doesn't cost.

I told DocB that maybe I can get some medicine in case I got red eye again if I wear contact lenses, and he promise me if I am strict about the hygiene then it will be no problem. So god bless me!

Those are my experience and my own opinion, just in case you guys have any eye problem and need a doctor, the choice is still up to you.

And I have to say that eye specialist don't really earn a lot.(Maybe does)Because I said that eye specialist really earns A LOT like A LOOOOT in my previous post.It just depends, and I think we are quite clear about this.
