Healthy JAN!

I sometimes love how the year started with a holiday, a long one like this, which I used to hate a lot.
I used to think that it is a waste of time, especially at the beginning of the year, and you're not doing anything, very unproductive.
But slowly I came to realize that only in this kind of holidays, you'll be doing what you want and what you like, and it's actually much more productive than just blindly rushing classes and assignments.
For me, I spent the last two weeks doing what I really want, focusing on my hobbies. Music, reading, cooking, exercise etc. (owhh also drama and anime XD)

The first accomplishment this year is I started to exercise daily and also eat clean. It actually started last year end, after I came back from all my vacations. Although I am quite sure that it won't be able to last the whole year, but at least right now I am doing it.

I'm visiting the gym at a daily basis right now, and everyday spending at least two hours there, focusing both on cardio and weight. I'm not aiming to slim down but just to stay healthy.
It usually start with about 15-20mins cardio, followed by 60-90mins of weight training, then ending it with 30-40mins cardio. I usually choose the treadmill for cardio, walking fast or sometimes jog. For weight I have my personal trainer which I used to visit about four years ago. Stomach will be focused everytime, while back+elbow and leg will take turns.

It's actually very hard to maintain, going to the gym at a daily basis, especially you have sore legs sore arms even getting down the bed is a pain, some more to the gym @.@
Also when you're training, all thoughts come into mind. "Why am I doing this?", "What am I doing here?" and that can't be more normal at first, especially lifting those weights doing that routine and time seems to pass SO SLOW!
But trust me, day by day, exercising will become a daily part of your life, and missing one day make you feel so empty and guilty. Until that day you do it like you eat and sleep, hang in there!

Okay now to the eating part!
More protein, vege, fruits, fibre. Less carbs and oil. Simple but so hard.

Breakfast can be soy with bread, eggs and fruits.
this is yummehhhh
Lunch can be normal, more grass aka vege. Homecook will be better.
Dinner try to keep it as simple. Fruits and maybe some biscuits (low sodium high fibre kind)

DO NOT SKIP A SINGLE MEAL. We are human beings that need food, no skipping.
Exercising daily might be hard, eating clean would be even harder. Try to avoid outside food and big meals, which is very hard.
So far I haven't have a single cheat day yet. YAY. Which I think will be today since it's Bii's birthday HAHA.

Anyway, no matter doing anything, enjoying is the most important.

It started off with a black out

2017! It's a new year!!!
People have plans and goals to reach, it's a new start!!!

Me? Owhhh I blacked out on the first day of 2017. Yepp.
I didn't expect this as my health was quite okay for the past few years, I collapsed in front of the crowds in public after feeling a bit dizzy. I was considered quite lucky as there was someone who grabbed me and I didn't knocked on anything.
This was my third time (?) fainting for the same reason, it's always unexpected, but no big deal.
Goshhh, you won't know how paiseh it is when you wake up after that, with eyes locked on you and everyone giving you that weirdo glare (perasan onot i dunno)

I have to say my health condition was like a roller coaster drop when it enters 2017. VERY SCARY.
First day I fainted and followed by a few days ear block (?) until today.
It felt like having high pressure on the ear drum and sometimes it's so worse that it hurts. I can barely hear any, not even myself talking, which makes me in a VERY wobbly emotion. #emotionallyVERYunstable
Until today I'm still taking pills applying this an that (which I don't even know will it work), things haven't get better and finger crossed in won't get worse.

I can't go anywhere else, imagining losing my ear sight somewhere else I don't know (okay I know I'm scaring myself) but right now I'm just being very careful. VERY CAREFUL.
My daily routine will be like: Going out with grandma in the morning, help out at Dad's shop, go home with Mum after she finished school, enjoy some self time, exercise, help Bii on her study, sleep.
I am very careful with everything I eat, because I was thinking this ear problem might be because of the seafood allergy (oops!) and there was this scenario that we all went out to a fancy restaurant and what I had was tea (and some grass aka vege ._.)

So far it's already one week into 2017, finished a few novels, some anime (natsume!), some korean dramas. Loving life right now, just hoping things will get better.

Hello 2017!

Blinks... blinks... and blinks...

Tbh I'm so not ready for 2017, I felt so unprepared, stepping into another new year.
Or in another way to say, I have no feelings for this new year.
I'm turning 20 soon this year, and this thought didn't even fear me, not even a little. I forgot since when, I embraced the thought that age is just a number and nothing else, I learnt to appreciate every single chapter of my life, and not to just rush through it. Hope that I can always keep this in mind.

I spent the last night of 2016, watching NHK then Johnny's countdown, as usual, missing those days sitting in front of the computer in the dark with Zoe watching countdown a few years ago. Now we're miles away, but still doing the same thing. Physically not together but heart, always.

Looking back my 2016 resolutions, I've achieved more than I expected. I felt so touched to the people I met and the chances I was granted, will definitely work even harder to pay it off!!!

A small conclusion of my 2016 achievements *chehhhh*

~ Dyed my hair (19 is quite late an age though)
~ Gave a talk in front of about 200 SPM students
~ Got into dean list

My final week of 2016 (Hatyai and KL)

While I was still looking for things to do at home after my trip to Taiwan, suddenly everyone started to jio and I effortlessly made my last and final week of 2016 fruitful.

I was actually thinking of going three places non-stop, Thailand-KL-Singapore.
Thailand for shopping, KL for Christmas and Singapore to visit my grandma and relatives over there. But why flight tix to Singapore so expensive, and train still so mafan, I gave up at last (thinking of spending a sweet few days at home to end my 2016)

Hello Thailand!
After checked in to out hotel we went out for lunch.
It has one hour time difference so when we were starving some of the shops are still closed =/
This is the typical kind of food in Thailand, please notice that thick rows of pork slices at the right, that's the main point of the meal!
After that we went shopping, since it's Christmas it's YearEnd, there's a lot of sales going on. 12 of us squeeze on a mini tuk-tuk and there was once we made a tuk-tuk tyre punture *oops*
Since my 90 y/o great grandmother joined us too this time, it's quite hard for her to go around so mostly she'll be on her wheelchair, all the tuk-tuk drivers we met are very good enough to send us to the entrance, or down the carpark, anywhere which is convenient! (This show how nice and kind the people there are =] )

That night we went for Thai massage!
It's a must every time we are here, you can easily find massage shops by the road, and this is the one that we always go. If you have the chance to go, make sure you go for their Thai massage!

Checked out the next day, more shopping around, more food indulging.
I know I had repeated lots of time but Malaysia currency is so bad everything becomes so expensive =/ Sometimes even on sale also feel not worth it ><
Do try out their coconut water or icecream
Also raise your head to check out those cables!
After coming back from Thailand, did my laundry, the next morning I was flying to KL!
One of my aunt is coming back from China for Christmas so this time is more to like meeting the family and spend time together.
We mostly spend our time shopping, chill at home, eat good food and we went to AN EXTREME INDOOR PARK!
It has a guts training section that is 4-storey high, with LOTSSS of trampoline and also I TRIED ROCK-CLIMBING!!! *ticking off one of the bucket list*
It's the largest trampoline extreme park in Asia, inside a huge factory, and I swear I used up all my energy there, especially guts training. Will definitely talk more about it in another post if I have the chance!

By then, I'm spending these last few days at my dad's shop as it's year end and it gets a bit busier. (struggling here coz my Malay kinda sucks =/ )
OMG CAN'T BELIEVE 2017 IS SO NEAR ALREADY!

FIVE things I want to do in Tokyo, Japan

As flying around becomes easier and any information can be easily gained from the internet, traveling becomes much more easier and the best way to travel is definitely live like a local for me!
As an anime lover and watching Japanese dramas for more than five years, a Japan lover and a Japanese speaker, Japan is the country that I'll definitely say if I'm asked to choose a one to travel. (100 times also not enough XD)
This time traveloka.com.my is giving out travel coupons to fulfill #MyTravelokaEscapade which I will definitely choose Tokyo to visit!!!

If you really want to travel as a local, experience the locals life, asking me for recommendation will never go wrong XD
Here’s a brief list of 5 things I want to do in Tokyo! Which I definitely recommend you to follow HAHA

Experience Tokyo metro
By saying experience, it's not only try to understand or figure out how to use the Tokyo metro which looks like tangled wires.
I want to be one of the people in that sardin-canned train during the morning peak hours, squeezing in the crowds who are rushing to work and school, let the train station staffs help squeeze and somehow manually close the train door. (Then I can proudly say those FB videos are true and I've experienced it)

worse than those tangled cables

Yukata and hanami
I love how Japan practice their culture in their daily life, as said it's not hard to see people in Yukatas at the subway or on the road.
One of my biggest regret is not renting a Yukata for hanabitaikai (fireworks festival) when I went to Japan this summer. Wearing a yukata might be bothersome and somehow heavy and hot, so winter might be the best season to wear a yukata and go hanami (cherry blossom watching?) during #MyTravelokaEscapade. I want to feel the bulkiness on the waist as they described and also walking elegantly with those wooden crocs.
Owhhh, how much I can foresee it'll be a pain XD (must take lots of instagram-worthy pics for this*take notes*)

Visit cafes
Name one of the cafes that you'd like to visit in Tokyo.
“Ok! Maid cafe, owl cafe, Gundam cafe, AKB cafe, and …. what? You say one??? But… it's so hard to choose *sobs*”
NEVER ASK ME TO GO ONLY ONE CAFE. I'm already in Tokyo! It's not like it's easy and cheap to travel this far, or I'll have another #MyTravelokaEscapade!!!  EVERY CAFE COUNTS.
As an owl lover, an otaku, an engineer-to-be tech lover and also an old AKB fan, all of those cafes are listed in my MUST VISIT list… which I'm still continue listing (not to mention those limited season ones!!!)
dream destination. No?

Japan local food
As a person who watched anime and Jdramas for almost ten years, trust me I can name every food that appears (excuse me food lover here) but at the same time it's also a ‘shame’ not trying it before!
In case you don't know what to eat in Japan (too much choices), here's a list: Curry rice, Ichiran ramen, Kaiden sushi, zaru soba, takoyaki (octopus ball?), taiyaki, kakigori (shaved ice), crepe… you name it!!!
Owhh and not to forget to try out their McDonald's! They have so much choices that fused with their locals taste!
limited time sakura ones, matcha ones, choco fries <3

Studio Ghibli museum
Leaving this as the last of 5, it's hard to get tickets for it, even harder as a foreigner =\
I guess it's everyone’s dream to visit the museum as long as they watched one of their productions. It's even more attracting as it's not allowed to take pictures in the museum so everything inside is so s mysterious !!!
Tips: After visiting the museum, make sure to visit their cafe there (as everyone say so)
There’s also a place to visit nearby that not much people know which is Edo Tokyo Tatemo no En where you can find old Japanese buildings there in the middle of the Tokyo city (if you don't have a chance to visit Kansai this is the place for you to explore Japan’s old buildings!!!)
this is also the place that gave inspiration for the movie SenToChiharaNoKamikakushi

I've done a looooot of research for this, just to go to those places with 'high CP', so pleeeeease make #MyTravelokaEscpade trip to Tokyo come true!!!
There's stil a lot of things that I wanna do in Japan, such as walking the Shibuya crossing, go to a nastu-matsuri (summer festival), to a music festival or a concert in Japan, to the izakaya (beer stalls) drinking beer after a long day with the office workers, shop for anime and technologies at Akihabara!
(WILL NAME FIVE MORE IF I HAVE THE TIME FOR IT XD)

The living cost in Japan is 'scarily' expensive!! (I almost ate onigiri from the combini everytime last time I went Tokyo XD) It's almost impossible for me to visit my dream country these few years =\
Luckily I saw a light of hope when seeing traveloka.com.my is giving out travel coupons!!! (My God My angel My Kamisama My Megamisama!!!)

Looking forward to #MyTravelokaEscapade and visit Japan one day, as it's my dream country!!! Moreover language is no longer a problem as I speak Japanese (chehhh) self taught though XD

Exploring my allergic zone

You can definitely tell how I'm enjoying my holiday and feeling festival, having a Christmas decoration around my neck which I simply grab from Daiso from a random shopping this morning.

single eyelid so single LOL
Few days ago I went explore my allergic zone.
Saying myself allergic to seafood, I actually don't know how bad it is, as I was being a good kid keeping away from those food. (I even gave up my favorite Hokkien mee as it has prawns in it)

I used to enjoy seafood a lot when I was young, going out to the sea with Dad's friends, and enjoying a feast at night, having BBQ party at the backyard, shoving my face into the sea of seafood (gosh it rhymes! XD)
It'll usually ended up with my skin itchy that I scratch so much it'll end up bleeding with a kind of yellowish liquid (sry ewwwww). I used to attend ballet classes and I remember wearing those lace socks was a pain, as it'll usually scratch my skin and make the wound worse =/

Okay end of ewww-y story, so a restaurant nearby was having a new meal set with crabs and prawns, so my aunt jio-ed me for dinner to try out. It was satisfyingly good and goshhh I haven't been eating seafood for a couple years!

We finished it between three of us, and when I was halfway typing this blog, we went for the second time just now. Still nice.

Burppp. RIP.
Other than that, mostly time at home were spent with my loved ones. Reason that I think staying home is important.
trying out new recipes with mom

kacau at Dad's shop with grandpa

Bii is coming back from Japan tonight!!! Can't wait to see her and presents she bought for me!!!

Beside the safe line

My first year first semester's result's out.
Third time, still somewhere at another country, this time at an airport waiting for baggage check in.

Compared to the last two semester, it's much more stressful.
Reason1, I have a goal to reach, and if I fail to score higher than that, I'll be saying buhhbye to my current scholarship.
Reason2, I'm not focusing a lot at studies this semester, compared to the last two. I used to read more than I should as I'm interested, this semester I'm just trying to score those marks but not really learning =/

Gladly, luckily, I'm beside the safe line, in a good way.
Thank God I secured my scholarship for one more semester, which also means one more semester to be much more stressful as I've come such a long way, promise will study well and focus more.

I don't know who I should thank, as I was skipping class and was being blurred all time (don't learn guys, not good, serious) Maybe I should thank the papers for being not that hard this time (?) as I was expecting something harder (based on past year papers) and Lady Luck was seriously by my side as I know everything on the paper.

The worst part, probably that assignment-based unit. Screw it.
It's so hard to score and even following all those rules and doing my best, going for lots of consulting and doing everything I can to score higher, It's still much more lower than others unit.
Ironically, the unit that I put most time and effort turns out having the lowest marks. #reasonimnotstudyingcommerceorbusiness #isuckatassignments

Anyway, small pat on head for well done, huge punch on face for not giving all out.
I am still very grateful that the results left a happy ending for my trip and not ruining it. #thirdtime

At the same time, Zoe is having her sembreak and is going around Europe for a few weeks.
Bii just finished her performance as a cellist at Kyoto, now travelling around Osaka for a few days, fulfilling two dreams at the same time. Her PT3 result will be out tomorrow (I guess?) and she's now oversea with her principle, not sure how she'll check her result, I'm much more gamjiong than she is HAHA #travelledbacktostudywithher #moretokacauthantolong #butstill #wheretofindsislikethis
Hard work pays off, the backstage blood-sweat-tears part is never shown, I'm very proud of them being able to reach where they are right now, and did not give up! #proudsis

Ok, results out=drama mood. Kdramas for learning Korean I swear XD
I'm trying to do something new everyday, so far I still find my holiday fruitful and still a list of challenge, let's see when I'll get bored.
