NanGang Exhibition

This day we decided to spend our day lazily, not that doing nothing lazy, but just a relax schedule, not rushing. In this kinda day, of course must lemme take my time and laze on the bed until late. Like seriously the bed got magic you won’t want to get out from it gahhhhhhh. Had lunch a coach’s house since today is the first day of the month in Chinese’s calendar, they did some praying and cooked some good food.

After that we went to one of the Chinese temple to pray, spent some time there and coach got a kind of soda out of nowhere LOL It’s a kind of old times goods, they have it in Malaysia too in the old days, but this was my first time trying it.

Also hung up a small plate to wish for good luck for the year.

Finished praying, we left our bikes at the LRT station and took the LRT to 南港 for a travel exhibition. This place is famous with its beautiful buildings and is specially for exhibitions. This day there were actually two exhibition going on, one about eating vegan (?) and another is about travelling, which was our main reason to go there.

Its like all kinds of travelling company all came and …….. just like those exhibitions. Well coach actually came here for a reason, they wanted to buy flight tickets to Malaysia, but they can’t find it online since they wanted to book it quite late, so they decided to maybe ask some company whether they can help them to get those. Which turns out they can’t find it anyway, and ended up following a group to Korea lol. There’s lots of people there, mostly Taiwanese, trying to find any place they wanna go during this Chinese New Year holiday.

Well the whole day went just like this.

At night we went to 龙山寺night market for dinner. This time finally its warm enough I took my hands out of my pockets to snap some pics lol.

On our way back home, we met with the night market near the place we're staying. Coach insisted he wants to play mahjong (not the usual mahjong but just the one using the mahjong playing another game) 

We didn't won though, but the boss there is nice enough to just give me one plushie as a present, awwwwww, of course I must choose owl~!

THE Birthplace

The number one place that I wanted to visit at Taiwan, is JiuFen九份, the birthplace, or we say, the main concept, where Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi,千与千寻 got the idea from. I saw from lots of sources from the net, all saying how is it there. Watched videos and imagined times in my mind. Most of them would comment that the place is not as nice as it was thought, but since I knew how it looks like, through videos, I still find it very interesting and a quite 神圣 place for me.  So after visiting this place, with a whole lot more of wonderful-amazing-crazy memories, I have to say no regret for coming Taiwan I guess.

But before that, I have to say I gave up on another even more important event, for this day. I gave up on queuing for 红白艺能大赏, which BTS came. I have to admit I’m so damn upset and down when I realized how hard is it and how much is it impossible for me to go in there, to see them. But yea, sometimes when we lose something, we will get another thing as exchange. Thinking on the good side, we’re blessed enough to be able to come here to Taiwan. A big thank you to coach who made my day better, who made me feel that giving up queuing is okay and is worth it.

So our trip didn’t just go straight to JiuFen, we visited all the places all the small divisions that we passed through before we got to JiuFen, which was unexpected! Before we start our journey, we stopped at a stall by the road, but was very recommended for breakfast, 面线, it’s a must eat food here at Taiwan, and I’m giving a big thumbs up!

Next we stopped at 深坑老街, Taiwan has a lot of old streets which called 老街, they kept the places just like how it looks like years ago, and every 老街 have its worthy part to visit. Stopped for a while just for a small rest after quite a distance, had 青蛙爱玉 (loving their this kinds of drinks here at TW) and also challenged for the second time for 臭豆腐, this time its barbequed, together with TW type of kimchi, still bearable LOL.

Another stop was quite long, we stopped at 十分, a place with very nice bridge, railway, place for putting sky lantern too. It was also considered as a 老街, there’s lots of people foreign visitors here too. Just after we reached, I tried 红豆饼, a kind of traditional snack(?) at TW here. Went to the souvenir shop, bought something, also postcards. Sent back on the spot too!

Since that day can also be consider as the start of the year of 2016, of course must put sky lantern to wish for something nice and for 2016 being smooth! (will put it even its not new year haha) It was ‘well packaged’ , you can choose from just a color or four different color for each sides. We wrote it at the side of the railway road, and the train really did went through while we’re writing. Quite an amazing experience! The staffs there will also help you to take pictures, even teach you like how to pose LOL Damn professional, and the pics will all come out quite nice (depends on how you look, which mine was not that nice due to face problem LOL)

Got 麦芽饼, which Taiwanese will usually eat as snacks when they’re young (?) The crackers are a bit salty, which goes well with the malt sugar, not too sweet. Nice. Love.

Then we stopped again at 瑞芳, coach actually wanted to eat a kind of food, but we’re not that lucky, meeting it not open on that day. But we got 凤凰腿and米肠,凤凰腿taste nice, but 米肠even though people here like it much, but for me its just 糯米made into stick shape LOL

Finally we’re at JiuFen, seriously the scenery all way to here is damn breathtaking and speechless. All of those can’t be captured can’t be described and can only be felt I guess. Every second I felt blessed being able to reach here, not that I’m too emotional too 夸张 or what,.

The place used to be full of gold, but now since the digging work went too dangerous they stopped doing so. The place was literally people mountain people sea, we were squeezing through the whole time. 

We walked straight up just going through the shops, at the end the top there's an elementary school. The scenery was calming you can see the whole scenery down the hill. The way down, we went in through the shops that we were aiming while we walked up. Got lots of things that I like and also tried foods that's so yummy, no regret coming all the way here and squeezing with the crowds!!!

All the way there and back took almost the whole day. We reached back to the town center in the evening and stopped at Carrefour again for dinner. Met up with YuLing and guess where we went next... KARAOKE! They call it 夜唱, we sang until about 2am++, they had buffet here but stupid us had dinner before we came since we decided this after we ate LOL

Its another new week! Can't believe I'm now half way through my journey here at Taiwan >.< Just thinking that I may be leaving soon makes me feel quite down T^T

Mon

Well since I spent my weekends at thee hotel, I decided to rush back on Monday morning back to school. It took about half an hour but its totally worth it for a night more at the hotel Haha. Since its time where students go to school, I got to see all kinds of school uniforms all the way back! 制服控发作 XD 

Had dinner at carrefour and had bibimbap! Damn yummy~~~~ Just like everytime at carrefour, after dinner we spent some time going around at the mall.

Before going back we went to the CD shop (?) which usually people at Taiwan will rent CD from there.

Tue

Today after school went downhill with FuTeng to meet with coach, had beef that night at a very nice place. Damn like seriously I'm having big meals almost each and everyday >.< Fats o fats.

That night after dinner, we spent some time at the family mart near the dorm. Coach and FuTeng both said they're good at chinese chess, which leads to the whole night comepeting LOL which leads to me being bored till max watching them playing something I don't even understand ...

Wed

Today coach is not at school for the whole day. After school one of the teachers fetch me and FuTeng down-halfway-hill for dinner at a shabushabu, her daughter joined us later, the people from the place even gave us macadamia cheesecake for desserts Awwwww

After dinner we went back quite early, by bus, since we tumpang the teacher's car down LOL

Thu

Spent another night went swimming, ahhh how much I love it here ><

Before that we went dinner first and met up with YuLing.

Fri

Again its another last day of the week! Dinner at town, wanted to had Japanese shabushabu, but too late so we changed to another kind of shabushabu, still shabushabu, eat until damn full, again...

Bangtan will be at Taiwan for 红白歌合战, which the tickets are not for sold >.< Good in a way that I actually have the chance to go in, only if I go queuing the night before ._. 

Although the concert is tomorrow night but people are queuing start from this night...like crazy... 0.o

Three days holiday~!

So from my last post, I joined my aunt and her friends at TaiChung. They came with JenRong ShiFu to Taiwan here to celebrate one of the ShiFu's birthday and at the same time travel around. I have to say these few days I was staying at 4/5 stars hotel, so damn much better than my half-abandoned school dorm >< Okay lets be grateful that we have at least a place to stay in this cold winter =)

On the night I reached TaiChung, I went up to 南投 to 清净农场 straight to aunt's place to meet them, took a shower, stuffed something to fill my tummy and its around 11pm, since I was so tired and I actually didn't feel much about leaping into a new year, I didn't think about counting down LOL dozed of just a few minutes before 2016 but not regretting, seriously.

The next day we woke up around 3am, yes, A.M. Got ready in a few minutes and up on our way to 合欢山, its a long journey and we actually didn't went all up since up there its all jammed, decided to stop half way up and wait for the sunrise. Actually the sunrise was not so perfect, a bit out then covered by the clouds, struggled a bit but at least we waited . Stood in the less than 2degree celcius outdoor, on top of a shaky stool, one hand stucked in my pocket freezing, another hand out with my phone on it, freeze until I can't actually feel.

Well at least I made my wishes, and really did feel blessed and thankful.

After that we went back to the 民宿 and had breakfast then down the way we go heading to TaiChung. Stopped at a wine factory kinda thingy, somewhere to buy things from taiwan and the second floor is a kind of mini musuem about the story of the wine sold there.

After that we went to an earthquake musuem. Got to know a lot more about earthquake, just on time when I was worrying about earthquake in Taiwan... Okay don't think to much... Its unpredictable so of course we must know some basic about it!Learnt a lot!

Later we went to 菩萨寺, damn nice and calming place, everywhere is decorated nicely to details. Went to one of the room specially for visitors to spend some time rewriting 心经, of course I did too, on the first day of 2016, meaningful.

At night we went to TaiChung's 逢甲夜市, arghhh nightmare in there because of the crowds! I don't even need to walk or move, people will squeeze and push and eventually you'll be moving forward and forward LOL. But at least I got to eat lots of things I wanted to try~ Later that night we went back to the hotel much more later than the group just for some shopping and on this night I actually got lots of things~! Teehee!!!

On our way back we stopped at 新竹北埔 for lunch, a very nice place and we actually got to access a private area for tea before our lunch.

After lunch we got to try to make 碰茶, by ourselves. Its something we need to grind, which includes tea leaves and a few kinds of nuts.

That night we went to 德林寺 for dinner, and then headed to 忠孝新生 area for shopping, not so a place to shop, things quite expensive, got nothing there, quite disappointed though. But two things made it better, the guys there are all so damn handsome Kyaaaaa, and so damn tall, and... all got girlfriend ._. Haha. Also saw a big model of ShingekiNoKyojin Kyaaaaaaaaaaaa.

So this day is ShiFu's birthday so mainly at the temple. Headed straight to the temple after breakfast at the hotel. Spent about an hour 诵经 then its lunch time (not stop eating huhh).

After lunch we went to 莺歌老街, a place where it sells mostly ceramic made things. Not really places for me to buy things, but the place is very nice and also a to go place if you want those kind of things.

After that we went back again to the temple for dinner and JenRongShi drove us to buy some things then back to the hotel. Slept early since I need to rush back to school the next day >.<
